         We can't deny that we are now living in the modern technology. We are now in the new chapter of our lives.
         It is safe to say that there is a big association between digital literacy and english proficiency. digital literacy is the capacity to locate, organize, understand, evaluate, and analyze information using digital technology. So, it implies a knowledge of high technology and an understanding of how it can be used. English proficiency is the ability of an individual to speak or perform in english.
         We can notice that most of our gadgets are english as one of it's default language. So a digital literate person maybe an english proficient person. With the use of english, digital literate people can communicate and work more efficiently using this skills  they can use internet and etc.
         English proficiency also serves as the engine that drives global economy. Almost all of our digital devoices were invented by English Speakers. Therefore, there is a need for us to be proficient in this language in order to participate globalization and the global economy. We should realistic and practical. We have to learn and sharpen our English competence.
         Let's be one and promote literacy through the use of our English skill. 

We are now facing the new era of our lives. Science overruns not only our whole world but also the entire universe.The two greatest tools in our society is now in synergy - Chemistry and Science Club.
As we noticed, the world is now facing many problems such as natural and man-made calamities. We can't deny that Mother Earth is slowly dying. Many lives are being wasted because of our bad habits. That's why there is a need for us to think and to move. Chemistry and Science Club is now cooperating with each other in order to produce a combined effect that will surely stop these problems.
Our country is now celebrating the Science Month with the theme, "Chemergy: Chemistry and Science Club in Synergy." Many schools are now actively participating in the said celebration. One of these schools is our school, Ilocos Sur National High School.
Let us support the Science Club. Let us celebrate the Science Month. Let us unite in order to fulfill our goals and dreams to our Mother Earth. Let us prove that Chemistry and Science Club is really in synergy.

Let us open our eyes once in a while in order for us to know who they are. They promote success in our country. We must be thankful of them for being the instruments of hope---our teachers.
Literally, we defined a teacher as a person who teaches in the school. But, do you think that our teachers can be our heroes?
Yes. I believe that my teachers are my heroes. They come from the different fields of endeavor. They are responsible of our success in the future. They play a big role in molding our good life. They serve as our leaders, our parents and also our friends. They are sacrificing in order for us to achieve growth and development in our lives.
I am proud to tell the whole world that all of my teachers are my greatest heroes. They are very kind to me. They are imparting me the love and care which are needed to open the door of my success. I know that all the things they are doing to me is for my own sake.
I salute my teachers. I am promising them that their sacrifices for me will not be wasted. They will serve as my path in order for me to reach the world of success.
Let’s celebrate the World Teacher’s Day. Let’s be thankful to our dear teachers.

All of us have our heroes in life. We can consider our parents, our friends, our teachers and others as our hero. The chief male character in a book, play, or film is called a hero. In real life, a hero is a person who is admired for his/her courage or outstanding achievement.
Who is your hero? Why did you consider him/her as your true hero in life?
For me, my heroes are my parents.They serve as my savior, my true friend and responsible mother and father. I can say that my life is lonely without them. I am so lucky because God gave them to me.
My parents give me love,care and strength which I needed. They made me realize that life is good and beautiful. They are always beside me thats why I am not afraid to face my problems in life. They also serve as my guide and my inspiration to fulfill my goals. They are the one who made me strong and also a good citizen in the society.
I love my heroes. For me, no one in this world is better than my parents.

ICT or the Information and Communication Technology is one of my favorite subjects. I have gained much experiences and lessons in this subject.
What are the lessons, discoveries and challenges that I have gained? How did I overcome this challenges?
This subject inspired me to become a responsible student. I also learned that time is important. I need my friends and the people around me in order to continue my studies. In this subject, I discovered the wonders of the Internet. I also discovered its history, advantages and many more.
In the life of a student, we are already expecting some problems and challenges. As a student, I was challenged in the responsibilities that came into my life. That's why I doing all my best just to do these responsibilities.
I know that these experiences, lessons and challenges will make me a better citizen and a successful person someday.

          The second breath-taking State of the Nation Address (SONA) of our President Aquino was being established last July 25 at Batasang Pambansa Complex, Quezon City.
          What is SONA? Is it important for us?
          SONA is the annual report of a leader or a president of one country regarding to the important events, projects and other momentous things which affect our country. It is important for us to listen or to read the president's SONA because we can determine wether he or she is working or not. In the SONA, we can already say wether a president deserves that position or not.
          I was amazed with Aquino's SONA. He used our own language making me proud as a Filipino. I felt happy because our government is really doing its job, to serve the Filipino citizens.
          Aquino's SONA focused only on the economic of our country. I felt lonely when I noticed that he did not prioritized education and health which are very important in building a better nation. He must also concentrate on these 2 factors because these are some keys to unlock a better future. I am hoping that he can do something about it as soon as possible.
          In general, Pnoy's SONA was great. If I am given the chance to give him a score, I will give him 9 out of 10.
          Our president needs our help in order to achieve our dreams for our dear country. I am asking everyone to help and unite for the betterment of the country.
     

          Evere July, our country celebrates the Nutrition Month. "Isulong ang breastfeeding - tama, sapat at eksklusibo", this is the theme for this year.
          Breastfeeding is the feeding of an infant or young child with the breastmilk directly from the mother. It is recommended that mothers must brestfeed their babies for six months or more because it is the healthiest form of milk for them.
          Breastfeeding promotes health and helps prevent disease. Studies show that babies who were breastfed have higher IQ's compared to the babies who were not breastfed. Scientists and experts agree that it is benefecial to the baby as well as the mother. Breastfeeding makes babies healthy. It gives the baby greater immune health. It also makes the baby avoid from being obese.
          Breastfeeding is the best and safest way or providing nourishment for a children. It can help a family save more money.
          Healthy babies are the key for a better country. We must give them more time, love and effort. Let's support breastfeeding.

Dear President Noy,
                   "Kayo ang aking boss", this was a very powerful statement that you have said to the people of the Philippines. Many of us became more comfortable to your government as days passed by.
                    Since you have said that you are willing to serve the Filipino people and the country, I am urging you to focus to the main three problems of our country.
                    Poverty, the worst problem of our country. I am encouraging you to issue a law or an Executive Order that will help the people. I believe that giving them an occupation will be one of the keys to stop this problem. You must concentrate to their needs.
                    All of us know that lack of education and corruption leads to poverty. You must investigate the corrupt officials as soon as possible. I am hoping that your government is not the same as the past administration. Lastly, I earnestly ask to you to make some programs and projects that will help the students. I am asking you to build more schools and classrooms for us to study. I am begging you to provide ou school with more and new equipments. I humbly ask you to give more fund to the DepEd which will be used for our own sake. This help will serve as our key an inspiration to fulfuill our dreams and goals in our lives.
                     If we unite with each other, this country will be better. W are believing in your administration.
